U.S. Veteran Information (non-governmental)

Question:
I am a Vietnam Veteran and I am searching for Daily Records for the base camp of Dong Tam in SVN. I am interested in the combat activity during this time. I am told the records will record Ground attacks and mortar attacks. I need this for my hearing with the BVA. Can you point me in the right direction?

Answer 1:
You will find 9thinfdivsociety.org or www.mrfa.org helpful in your research efforts.
Both have the records for Dong Tam. --Paul Kasper

Answer 2:
In order to conduct research on Dong Tam, this veteran must provide his unit of assgiment, dates assigned to that unit, descriptions of stressors and any other helpful information to the JSRRC. He can also write directly to the NARA at College Park, MD. They will charge him a fee and let him know prior to researching. You will find informaiton on the JSRRC on the USVI website, including contact information, at the following URL: www.tpromo2.com/usvi/esg_us.htm on the USVI network. --TK
